CheMatSustain in Bologna – We Are Part of the European Transition!
From 24 to 27 June 2025, representatives of the Department of Biophysics at Lodz University of Technology – Prof. Bogdan Walkowiak, Dr. Małgorzata Siatkowska, Dr. Bartłomiej Gostyński, and Dr. Piotr Komorowski – took part in a series of key events organized within the CheMatSustain project (chematsustain.eu) at the University of Bologna.
The agenda included three major events:
3rd General Assembly Meeting
Review Meeting – First Reporting Period, with participation of:
- George Kotsikos, Project Officer, European Commission
- Susan Filipe, independent EC expert for project assessment
CheMatSustain First National Event, which launched the CheMatSustain Facility – an online platform for collecting data on the safety and sustainability of chemicals and nanomaterials.
Progress on WP3 and WP4.1 was presented by Dr. Małgorzata Siatkowska and Dr. Bartłomiej Gostyński.
The meetings brought together project partners, scientists, industry representatives and EU policymakers responsible for chemical safety regulations.
