At the Division of Numerical Methods in Materials Engineering, interns from Japan and Greece are working on advanced TPMS (Triply Periodic Minimal Surface) structures. Their research focuses, among other areas, on the potential applications of these structures in medicine and bioengineering, as well as on their behaviour under static and dynamic loading.

Meanwhile, at the Division of Advanced Materials and Composites, students from Belgium and Germany are participating in research on materials designed for use in hydrogen environments and on applications of quantum dots.

International internships provide an opportunity not only to gain valuable research experience, but also to exchange knowledge, establish international cooperation and explore different approaches to scientific research.

The IAESTE internships and the projects carried out in the laboratories of Lodz University of Technology are presented in an article published in Życie Uczelni by Dorota Rylska, PhD, Associate Professor at the Institute of Materials Engineering and the Rector’s Representative for IAESTE Internships at Lodz University of Technology.
