CheMatSustain researchers conducted joint studies on gold nanoparticles at the University of Urbino as part of Task 3.2.
On April 4–11, 2025, researchers from the CheMatSustain project – Dr. Eng. Małgorzata Siatkowska and Dr. Eng. Piotr Komorowski from the Department of Biophysics (Team of Prof. Bogdan Walkowiak) – visited the University of Urbino Carlo Bo in Italy.
The main focus of the visit was to strengthen scientific collaboration as part of Task 3.2 of the CheMatSustain project (chematsustain.eu). The collaboration involved scientists from the Department of Biomolecular Sciences (Team of Prof. Maria Cristina Albertini) and our Institute.
Together, the teams conducted advanced tests using a microfluidic system that simulates blood vessel-like conditions to assess the toxicity and effects of gold nanoparticles on endothelial cells.
